About Me

Growing up in a small nation where computers were a luxury, my journey with technology began in grade 7. The intricate workings of machines captivated me, from the thrill of playing computer games to the satisfaction of coding my first "hello world" program.

My formal introduction to computer science came in middle school, where I delved into programming basics and discovered the complex interplay between hardware components. My fascination deepened in grades 9 and 10, leading me to become a computer technician, a role I maintained throughout high school to apply my growing knowledge practically.

Perseverance and the unwavering support of my parents, who prioritized my education despite significant challenges, have marked my educational journey. Their commitment to my future was highlighted by the decision to send me to the United States for higher education.

Recognizing the importance of real-world experience, I sought educational opportunities in the US, attending West Virginia State University and spending a semester in Texas. Ultimately, my quest for excellence brought me to California, where I graduated from CSU East Bay in May 2022. During my time at university, I developed a keen interest in several areas of computer science, including software development, algorithms, and data structures. I dedicated myself to understanding the foundational principles of computer science, which allowed me to tackle complex problems and develop efficient solutions.

In my final semester, I secured an invaluable internship as a System Administrator with a telecommunications corporation. This role allowed me to work on real-world projects, enhancing my skills in system administration, network configuration, and troubleshooting. Today, I work full-time as a Operation Engineer at Ooma, where the last two years have been transformative. This experience has not only enhanced my practical skills but also fueled my curiosity for operating systems, networking, and cloud computing.

At Ooma, I have been involved in several critical projects, including optimizing network performance, implementing robust security protocols, and automating system processes. These projects have provided me with a deep understanding of how large-scale systems operate and the importance of reliability and efficiency in a production environment.

My journey in computer science is driven by a passion for continuous learning and innovation. I am constantly exploring new technologies and methodologies to stay at the forefront of the field. My goal is to leverage my skills and experiences to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in technology and to solve complex challenges that make a meaningful impact.
